Shopping – 1940’S Style!

This year BR Event’s are organising the HOME-FRONT VINTAGE FAIR   during Leyburn 1940s Weekend, where you’ll  be sure to find some original fashions, home-wares, jewellery, memorabilia, militaria and much more besides. The fair is being supported by around 12 dealers, and Dr Twist with his vintage photographic studio area. Vintage Tinsel will be available for part of the weekend – to make sure your hair looks just right. Admission is FREE and there will be plenty to see and buy.

Looking for some great original jewellery to wear at the dance or just to brighten up an existing made do and mend outfit? Then look no further The HOME-FRONT VINTAGE FAIR will be able to find you just the right piece. From diamante necklaces to austerity brooches, marcasite and pearls, and some super hair accessories too.

Everything from wicker shopping baskets to silver ARP warden badges and designer pieces of jewellery from the era. Gorgeous gift ideas for the woman or man who has everything. Need a new evening bag ? A new hat for the gentleman or lady in your life, gloves to compliment the outfit..look no further ..bowler hats, top hats, solar tope needed for jungle duty ..chances are you will find one here.

The fair will be open for business from 10.00 until 5.00 on Saturday 26th and 10.00 until 4.00 on Sunday 27th. Just look out for the banners and brightly coloured arrows directing you to the Hall. Located just off the Market Place, you will see the Hall if you glance up Moor Road.

Don’t forget it is free admission but bring plenty of 10/- notes and crisp white fivers to spend…(maybe on this front the currency of today instead)
There will be a great Pop Up Tea Room in the grounds too, along with other attractions…a great way to spend part of the weekend at THE HOME-FRONT VINTAGE FAIR …
