2020 Event Cancellation

Sadly – we have to announce the cancellation of this years event!

We’ve left making this difficult decision for as long as we, reasonably, could but even if the current lockdown is eased in the next few weeks – there’s little hope that mass gatherings will be either permitted or popular for many months to come.

In the interests of our supporters, reenactors and traders we’ve ultimately concluded that its best cancel the 2020 Leyburn 1940s weekend

NOTE:

If you have been In touch regarding dance tickets, camping, stalls or bringing vintage vehicles
for this years event, then Julie will will be in touch just As Fast As She Can

  1. Sad to hear, but not unexpected.
Selfish bit. Keep all your workers safe and well, so that you can organise another event for us all next year.
    Thanks for all the effort.

  2. So sad, but not entirely surprised, that you have had to cancel. We have been regular visitors to The 40’s weekend for the last 4 years and had already booked our accommodation for this year!

But I am sure you’ll be back, better than ever in 2021. Hope we can all stay safe enough to be joining you then.

Very best wishes to you all. Keep safe x

  3. So sad, but not entirely surprised that you have cancelled the 40’s weekend. We have been coming from Lincolnshire for the last 4 years, and already had our accommodation booked. But I’m sure you’ll be back better than ever in 2021. Let’s hope we can stay safe and well enough to be joining you then.
Best wishes to you all. Keep safe

  5. One of our favorites on the 40s Calendar , totally understandable .
“Best Be Safe Than Sorry” as they say .
    Will see you in 2021

  6. Appreciate the ‘camping’ was omitted – but as it says in the Post above, “Julie will will be in touch just As Fast As She Can” [ but please be patient – there’s a LOT of work to do!
