What’s On

Over the years the event has not only been great fun – it’s also been tremendously educational and an important reminder that we should try never to forget, the few that did so much for so many!

This very popular event (now in its 10th year) in Leyburn’s Events and Festival calendar continues to grow and 2017 looks to be even better than previous years.

Over the weekend Leyburn will turn back the clock to the 1940s. In the Market Place, Thornborough Hall and throughout the town there will be a host of entertainment for you to take part in and enjoy.

The shops too dress their windows with memorabilia and fully enter into the spirit
of the event.

The Market Place in the centre of town becomes an arena for all things 1940s with:

  • Music,singing and dancing
  • Stalls selling an array of goods
  • All manner of vehicles including military vehicles, farm machinery,
    buses, vintage cars,steam traction engines.

The Dances (yes, there are two) are always popular – so get your tickets as soon as you can. See here.
